5-20-20 THOUGHTS

That God has PROMISED founds our HOPE!  God’s wisdom PROMISED,  makes us who we are!  I HOPE because God promised Jesus and then made good on that promise!  I’ve often thought of the richness of   2Pet 1:4    For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
I can be like God!  I am a son by adoption!  I can overcome the physical lustful nature of this world and THINK GODLY!  
Col 3:2    Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.  Message Bible has it    “Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.”
THANK YOU DEAR GOD FOR MAKING PROMISES AND KEEPING THEM...
Gen 22:18    "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."
Acts 13:23   "From the descendants of this man, according to promise, God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus,
Gal 3:29   And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Eph 1:13   In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation — having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
2Cor 1:20-22   MB    Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. 21  God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. 22  By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge— a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete.
Heb 9:15   For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were [committed] under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
1John 2:25    This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
Heb 4:1   Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.
Jas 1:12    Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which [the Lord] has promised to those who love Him.
2Pet 3:13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

My Prayer:
Thank you Father God  for your eternal wisdom toward us.  In great love, You planned our future in Christ Jesus and made wonderful promises.  In the right time, you made good on the promise!  The power of the death and burial and resurrection of your dear Son is just awesome Father.  Your promise completed is our victory, our HOPE.   Help us to rest now in this great hope!   We thank you for your  precious and magnificent promises.
